What Kontu is

Kontu is a personal finance tracking tool. You enter your account balances, debts, and recurring payments. We store that data so you can track your net worth over time. We do not connect to your bank and we do not process any real financial transactions.

What we collect

  • Account info — your email address and, optionally, a display name and profile photo.
  • Financial data you enter — account balances, debt balances, recurring payment amounts, and receivables. This is data you type in manually.
  • Usage data — basic logs generated by our hosting provider (Vercel) and database provider (Supabase). We do not use analytics trackers.

How we use your data

Solely to operate the app for you. Your financial data is used to display your net worth, chart your history, and surface upcoming payments. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose other than running Kontu.

Where data is stored

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase. Each user's data is isolated using row-level security — only you can read or write your own records.

Sign in with Google

If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and display name from Google. We do not receive access to your Google account, Gmail, Drive, or any other Google services.

Deleting your data

You can delete all your financial data or your entire account at any time from Settings → Danger zone. Deleting your account permanently removes everything we hold about you.
